Job Summary

The main purpose of this role is to keep the financial books of the Polish Company – Networked Energy Services Sp. z o.o. which includes: handling all data entries, accounting transactions, sales, purchases, expenses, monthly closing, reconciliation of banks & suppliers, tax declarations, employee’s benefits & taxes, and preparing bank transfers and checks.

Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties

  • Keep the Company's books – all entries, reconsiliations, cost allocations…
  • Keep records of fixed assets
  • Prepare of all tax declarations (Company Income Tax & VAT Declaration – Poland & Romania)
  • Cooperate with a tax representative in calculating VAT for US Mother company registered in Poland & Romania -  for VAT purposes
  • Responsibility for the correct calculation of salaries, taxes and insurance for foreign & local employees
  • Cooperation with external companies on employee tax and HR issues
  • Administration duties
  • Assist the accounting department, for both NES Sp. z o.o and the mother company, as required by the CFO.
  • Assist HR in employee related issues especially in abiding to Polish & EU laws
  • Represent NES Sp. z o.o. in contacts with Polish offices, banks, etc. when required
  • Assist in communication with external & internal auditors, as well as banks for all bank related issues – LC, Guarantee, transfers;
  • Create reports of the Central Statistical Office, NBP and all required by Polish law;
  • Prepare financial reports as required by CFO;
  • Follow up on Admin related contracts and make sure everything is up to date – if required

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

Basic

  • A Bachelor level university degree in Accounting
  • Requires the ability to communicate in written and spoken English
  • Experience working in an international environment

Required

  • 3 + years experience in the accounting department
  • Knowledge about Polish and international accounting standards
  • Advanced Excel Skills

Preferred

  • 5 + years of experience in similar role
  • Knowledge of international accounting standards – US GAAP
  • Audit experience

Job Description / Responsibilities

  1. Provide point of contact for NES customers and partners with technical problems
  2. Take responsibility for the resolution of these technical problems, working with peers in the support team and other members of the technical organization, such as engineering, production, product management
  3. Use the NES ticket management system to progress issues, lodging details of all activities performed to create a detailed record of history for the technical problem
  4. Manage and the NES support team ticket queues and look to prepare weekly stats for direct line manger
  5. Support other support team members where your own knowledge and experience will help them resolve issues
  6. Build a trust-based relationship with customers and partners, by delivering on your commitments to the customer and partner, and keeping them up to date through regular and structured reporting on the issue
  7. Add value to any general information received by other technical specialists by adapting it to the specifics of the customer or partners problem, and demonstrating that you understand how general technical activities to diagnose, resolve and restore relates to their specific case
  8. Work with the sales account owner or partner manager to ensure that they are up to date with any support issues
  9. Contribute to a general knowledge base of common problems, their symptoms and resolutions

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Use MRDs (Market Requirements Definition) and customer feedback to create PRDs (Product Requirements Definitions) for the engineering teams to create new products; providing all necessary support to and tracking of the engineering teams so that delivered product meets required definitions
  • Work with the program management teams to ensure that streams of work for specified product are aligned to customers commitments and roadmap, tracking any requirements which are specifically and contractually associated with a specific customer delivery
  • Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product changes.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
  • Work with product marketing to communicate product strategy to partners and customers and contribute to the development of marketing and sales materials, such as demonstration system and white-papers
  • Work with the sales to identify product sales strategies, e.g. build differentiation and USPs
  • Contributes to the bid management process where specific product development or specification inputs are required
  • Train technical pre-sales consultants to sell the product 
  • Contribute to direct sales activities in selected cases where the account is considered strategically important or sensitive
  • Follow the organizations processes for product management, and contribute to other processes such as bid management, sales management, marketing and engineering quality
