The CPM 0600 Control Point Module is a printed circuit board assembly modules that include everything required for reliable OSGP communication including power line communications chip, microprocessor, memory, full OSGP stack and power line coupling circuit. With this module, partners can quickly integrate their existing products including legacy or smart meters, or build new devices seamlessly with the NES system.

Technical Specs
Network Communication CENELEC A-band-compliant power line communication with built-in coupling circuit complies with the ETSI TS 103 908 Power Line Telecommunications (PLT) BPSK Narrow Band Power Line Channel for Smart Metering Applications specification. Application layer compatible with the ETSI GS OSG 001 Open Smart Grid Protocol.
Power input 12V +/- 10% DC @ 70 mA typical, 350 mA while communicating. An additional 16mA is added when using the optional load control relay (and relay is active). External 3V lithium battery is required (2.5V minimum, 3.6V maximum)
Integration connector 20 pins (10x2), 2mm pitch, meant for soldering. 4 pins (2x2) for mains voltage (Live – Neutral)
  • I/O interface (TTL-level only)
  • 1 secure Multipurpose Expansion Port (MEP) serial interface to connect to the attached smart meter
  • 1 set of disconnect control signals. Disconnect control is also available programmatically through the MEP interface
  • 1 input for disconnect status. Status also available programmatically through the MEP communication interface
  • 1 tamper switch input
  • 1 set of signals for optical port interface
  • 1 input for register protect
  • 1 input for hardware reset
  • 1 output (pull-down resistor) to indicate that the CPM 0600 is connected to a host device
  • 1 optional single-pole voltage-free relay; maximum load rating is 250V, 5A; fully isolated. Enables locally controlled, schedule-based and over the network, on-demand direct load control operations. Schedules can be remotely updated over the network
